Julia Ranney is a quick-thinking and savvy sports journalist.
With more than five years of experience in sports and news reporting (digital and print), Julia has a proven track record of bringing relevant and interesting stories to life across a variety of platforms and social channels.
Julia completed her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Industries (journalism specialty) from Toronto Metropolitan University, and has taken a series of short courses about fact-checking, interviewing, public relations and sport media.
Previously, Julia was an Editor at YAHOO! Canada, a Managing Editor at smART Magazine and an Editor at MUSE Magazine. She has written for Manchester City Football Club, the Canadian Premier League, OneSoccer, Volleyball Canada, The Toronto Star, Hockey News Magazine, Alberni Valley News, The Eyeopener, The Ryersonian and The Queen’s Journal.
When she’s not working, Julia is trying new recipes, reading, or cheering on Manchester City in the Premier League.
